Day 67 - Black Rock Camp

I was excited for the day, good weather forecasted and beautiful coastline to walk. The Queen Charolette track is a well maintained easy grade track, so kilometres are fast. We’ll plan to go 40km today.

Time to continue. The track is very winding in and out of coves and bays, each turn revealing a new little paradise.

11am photo making my way along the coast.

Part way through the day I went up to a nearby lookout point. A very BC west coast vibe here. I had to stop and take photos constantly. From here I rode the top of the ridge until our camp.

At camp we were treated to some spectacular views, a good place to pitch tonight. While at camp I left a bag of chips unattended, like a fool. Naturally a Weka came and dragged the bag off into the bush to feast. Once I scared it off and recovered my chips the Weka came back and stole my toilet paper. Not even food! They are now called Demon Chickens. With red beady devil eyes.
