Day 89 - Methvan

A zeroish day today. I’ll be hitching to the ski town of Methvan. Here I’ll resupply, stay the night, and figure out transport to the other side of Rakaia river to continue on. The owner of the lodge already exceeding in her kindness was willing to give a 20km ride to nearby junction to continue hitching from there. It was a funny hitch, because we all got dropped off at the same time there was 12 hikers lined up in the same spot. Took an hour for everyone to get going. 

In town I took a lazy afternoon catching up, resupply if, and eating pancakes. Lots of hikers here, perhaps the most yet; around 35. 

I’ll be up and early to catch a ride to the start the next section.
